AB Export - Export Address Book contacts to CSV or VCF is an application developed by Hong Wee Teo, which allows users to export their address book contacts into either the CSV or VCF (vCard) file formats. This allows the contacts list to be viewed in a huge range of different applications, including Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, Apache OpenOffice Calc and a variety of email platforms.

Aside from the increased compatibility with other applications, users may wish to perform such a conversion for various other reasons, such as for mail merge purposes. The application itself is extremely easy to use, with its user-friendly interface allowing conversions in just a few clicks. The conversion process itself is also fast, and there are options to export all contacts, or a specific group within the address book.
Basic Options
It is important to note that AB Export only has very basic conversion options. It requests permission to access the user's local address book and then performs the conversion locally, with no internet connections made. Yet, there are no options to import contact files stored on the cloud, and no drag-and-drop support for opening different files stored locally. However, ultimately, AB Export is one of the fastest and easiest conversion tools of its kind and should suit the requirements of most users.
